Please love reading this original digital feature about some good shows happening in NYC this weekend.

These recommends won't let you down.

So help me blob.

Thursday - July 21, 2016 A.D.

Expansive Canadian collective Broken Social Scene (which now feature a whopping _____ members!) play their first NYC show in five years tonight. Is it sold-out? Yeah. It's sold-out. I apologize. I didn't do it. I just blob here. Hope you already got a ticket or don't care! Let's now take it back to 2004 A.D., y'all.

Super dope Texas post ____ punks Radioactivity play Saint Vitus. Greys is also playing this show. They're super dope too. Does this sound like the right show for you tonight? Trust your heart with this one and I think you'll know what to do.

It's Summer Thursdays at MoMA and Potty Mouth is playing. Doesn't that sound like fun? Please note: it will be.

AND BILLY OCEAN PLAYS A FREEEEEEEEE SHOW IN CONEY ISLAND OH HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YES I'M A FAN OF HIS ENTIRE '80s MOVIE CATALOG!

Other notable Thursday shows = Super Furry Animals at Webster Hall + DJ Toro y Moi at Output + Marissa Nadler at Bowery Ballroom

Friday - July 22, 2016 A.D.

Panorama Fest starts today on Randall's Island (thank you for the use your island, Randy!) and a bunch of rising up-and-coming new faces are playing including Arcade Fire (who?) LCD Soundsystem (huh?) Subaru Stevens (I think I've heard of them?) and lots more of today's brightest unknowns.

Please note: I once saw Arcade Fire play Arlene's Grocery in like 2004 or 2005. Please hold your applause for me until the end of this article.

Ty Segall's band GØGGS play Rough Trade (and tomorrow at Baby's All Right) and I highly recommend you go if you feel like getting destroyed.

And Louis C.K. does the old Forest Hills Stadium gig. Please note: "Baskets" (Louie = its co-creator) is a really good show and quite frankly I feel it deserves more of your love. Give an Emmy to Louie Anderson right now. Just give it to him!

Other notable Friday shows = Tyondai Braxton at National Sawdust + Maria Usbeck at Babycastles + "Pulse" Against the Machine at Bowery Ballroom

Panorama Fest….still going on. As a friendly reminder, please leave Randy's island in the condition you found it in. He'd be super bummed to come home and find your shit everywhere.

Guns N' Roses play MetLife Stadium. Tomorrow too. Oh.

P.S.: I started the video to this song when I was in 7th Grade and it's still going.

MoMA PS1's summer Warm Up is today and is always a good time. Please note: I've never been but I've danced there many a time in my mind, man, my miiiiind.

Also. Here's your second reminder to go see GØGGS (this time at Baby's - this time... it's personal) this week and get destroyed.

Other notable Saturday shows = Flosstradamus at Music Hall of Williamsburg + Tokimonsta at Mercury Lounge
