"patrick, remember how your OMR Twitter Feed had a question about bands to feature? i just saw the brunettes in concert and they're totally better than we ever thought. and i'm not just saying this because my friends are in the band. i thought they were going to be twee and annoying, but they aren't. i mean they have a little bit of that precious thing, but not really. it was a surprisingly great show. their voices are great and the instrumentation is really rich and really tight and they all have tons of stage presence. honestly it was a great show. maybe you wouldn't be like, 'wow this band just pierced my soul,' but you might think, "that was a really great show and those people are super talented." part of me wants to say it's like blonde redhead + buddy holly + herb alpert? that's not really right."
